Wagerweb welcome bonus and review

WagerWeb Sportsbook is probably not the best known bookmaker out there, but these guys have been around for more than a decade. They have a lot of experience in the world of Internet betting and recently made the exception to casino games and poker. Apparently, they are just as successful in these two niches and if past performance can be used as a reliable indicator for future results, they are probably going to make a name for themselves here as well.

Welcome bonuses and free bets at Wagerweb

WagerWeb is not the youngest bookmaker out there, yet compared to other online gambling operators it is still a relatively new one. This would lead many to believe that they are running one of the most generous welcome bonus campaigns to be found over the Internet. Most bookies who hope to make a name for themselves in this line of work are frequently resorting to the strategy, but apparently this particular one doesn’t believe in freebies.

Opening a real money account is a straightforward process and players won’t encounter any obstacles en route to making their first deposit. Much to their surprise, they won’t receive a free bet and their deposit won’t be matched by any percentage so what they commit is what they get. The fact that there are obviously no wagering requirements and they can dispose of their funds whenever they like is nothing more than a pale consolation.

As stated above, mobile devices are fully compatible with online gambling, but unfortunately you won’t get a bonus for using smartphones either. Reloads are not rewarded, but at least if you refer a friend you will collect a bonus of 25% the amount he deposits. This should provide members with the incentive to spread the news and convince others to commit a significant amount, knowing that a quarter of their deposit will be eventually coming their way.

WagerWeb also runs an interesting payout system that emphasizes the rewards given to longtime customers, who have commited a lot of money while gambling online. All players start as a bronze member and slowly claw their way to the top, becoming silver, gold and platinum members. As they make the transition from one category to the other, the size of the bonuses increases and promotions become more generous, with cash outs being free of any fees.

Other gambling options at Wagerweb

WagerWeb made its baby steps in the online casino industry and used the very same concepts that made them successful in the sports betting niche. Unfortunately, they didn’t learn anything from the mistake of not offering a bonus to new members and when you play in the casino section for the first time you will be only using your own funds.

Slot machines represent the vast majority of the titles available, while table games are only a minority and they are not even available to be played against real dealers. The reason for why players are stuck with the random number generator is that WagerWeb didn’t have the time or resources to introduce a live casino so far. The limitations are obvious, but those who are more interested in playing as many games as possible in a short period of time won’t find these shortcomings that important.

On the other hand, many will be probably disappointed by the fact that the only games of poker available our video poker and versions that can be played only against the house. Texas hold‘em, Omaha and other types that are usually offered in a dedicated poker room miss altogether because WagerWeb doesn’t have such an area. Many online gambling operators leave this area for last, so given the fact that these guys have only been around for a few years, the poker room might be introduced in the future.

Pros and Cons for playing at Wagerweb

WagerWeb has a nice betting platform that is easy to use and intuitive enough as to make new players feel right at home. They can even rely on a tutorial that will help them better understand how to bet on individual games or add multiple events on the same betting slip.

The bookmaker doesn’t have any welcome bonus for sports betting for casino games which is downright annoying and poker is not available at all. Fortunately, there is a reward system at play and they occasionally run generous promotions, which provide players with a chance of rounding up their bankroll.

The selection of sports betting options is not that numerous and sometimes the lines on some games come out very late, so punters miss out on lucrative deals. Live betting is very restrictive and it is not possible to watch action as it unfolds in real-time.

Contact methods

Customer support is available over telephone and live chat if you need a prompt answer, but also email support for those who prefer to write a short letter. WagerWeb is actively advertising its product over social networks, so it comes as no surprise that punters can also contact them on Facebook, Twitter and Google +.

They are entitled to expect courteous service and professional advice over these channels, but it usually takes longer to solve matters on social media.

Wagerweb withdrawal and deposit options

WagerWeb offers only five ways of depositing or cashing out, with visa and MasterCard being by far the most popular ones. Skrill is the electronic wallet used routinely by customers while person2person and ezvoucher are the other two alternatives. It is mandatory to deposit at least $50 regardless of the payment method used and players can only cash out amounts exceeding $100.

These limits are pretty high by any bookmaker’s standards and the fact that a flat fee of $20 is charged when withdrawing funds is even more frustrating. Basically, players need to wait until they have enough money to cash out and limit the number of withdrawals, so that they pay as little commission as possible. The processing time partially makes out for all these fees, as the transactions are completed in less than 48 hours, but no sooner than 24 hours.
