In Turkey, something very different happened: a right that belonged to the state was literally transferred to the private sector for 10 years and it was decided that the state could not “issue a separate license” for the duration of the lease. Until 2029, nobody other than the companies we have listed above has the right to offer online betting (or games of chance) in Turkey, and this includes the government itself.
