Canadian Dollar (CAD) Bookmakers and Betting Sites

The official currency of Canada is the Canadian dollar (CAD) and it is the 5th most used currency for international payments.

It is also the 5th most held currency and makes up about 2% of the world’s reserves.

Canada happens to be a country rife with gamblers that love to bet on hockey, football, baseball, and many other sports.

Canadian punters have been able to bet on sports through various government lotteries for many years but they have turned to online bookmakers mainly due to these international betting sites offering better odds, single-game betting, and more wagering options in general.

Many of the best internet sportsbooks offer Canadian players the convenience of betting using CAD.

This means that Canadians don’t have to go through the hassle of calculating betting account balances or bet amounts in foreign currencies such as US dollars and euros.

Who can use Canadian Dollars when Making Sports Bets?

Almost anyone can bet in CAD assuming that the sportsbook at which they want to place their bets accepts this currency. Punters with Canadian currency credit/debit/prepaid cards can make deposits at most online bookmakers as can those who have a Canadian currency bank or eWallet account.

Those who actually have some Canadian cash on hand can also fund their betting accounts by using a wire service.

If your preferred bookmaker does not support betting in CAD it is more than likely still possible to make a deposit. You will just need to be in another currency such as euros or US dollars. The sportsbook will simply convert your Canadian money into one of their supported currency. You may not get the very best exchange rate but the difference is negligible.

If a betting site accepts Canadian players it doesn’t mean that accepts also CAD currency. We can say the same that not all Interac betting sites will allow deposits with Canadian dollars.

What Bookmakers Offer Canadian Dollars as Betting Currency?

CAD for wagering currency is not as widely available as other currencies such as the US dollar, the euro, or the Great Britain pound but it is available at most of the highest-rated online bookies. You can use CAD for betting at Pinnacle, Unibet, and Marathon Bet as well as at Bet Victor and Party.

Other big names such as Stan James, SBObet  and Intertops offer CAD for sports betting currency as do Nordic Bet, 32 Red, Betway, and Cashpoint.

There is no shortage of excellent sportsbooks offering CAD for wagering currency. Punters can find many more of these trusted betting sites (such as Ethereum betting sites) by referring to the sportsbook database at We have also prepared a top 5 offshore sportsbooks list in 2021.

All you need to do is select your country of residence and then select CAD as betting currency. You will find plenty of results. Don’t forget to take advantage of some of those valuable betting bonuses too.

Are there any Bonuses for Canadian Dollar Deposits?

You betcha!! CAD betting deposits are eligible for a whole bunch of awesome bonuses. Some of these bonuses are advertised in other currencies but CAD sportsbook deposits will usually be offered in the currency equivalent.

Netbet, Unibet, and Super Lenny are offering the Canadian dollar equivalent of €50 on CAD sportsbook deposits while Exclusive Bet, Real Deal, and Propawin are giving up to the Canadian dollar equivalent of €100. Youwin will give up to $100 when you deposit with CAD.

Sporting Bet will give you up to $150 and 10Bet has up to $250 in bonuses waiting for those who deposit with CAD. Another interesting deal is the $300 USD (or equivalent) bonus package at Bookmaker

What are the Minimum and Maximum Amounts for Depositing and Withdrawing in Canadian Dollars?

There is no universal deposit or withdrawal limit at internet betting sites. Limits are imposed by the individual bookmaker as well as the payment processor (such as Payvision – see here our Payvision bookmakers and betting sites). There are loads of online bookies and several different payment methods which means there are countless different limits out there.

Let’s see what are the limits Pinnacle, starting with Mastercard and Visa credit cards. A minimum of $25 and a maximum of $700 per deposit is allowed but credit card withdrawals aren’t processed at Pinnacle.

Instadebit deposits using CAD are subject to a $10 minimum and a $2,500 maximum per transaction. Withdrawals are required to be at least $12 and no more than $20,000 per transaction.

Entropay deposits using CAD have to be between the Canadian dollar equivalent of €20 up to €5,000 per transaction while withdrawals have to be a minimum of €15 up to a maximum of €3,000 per transaction.

It’s easy to see the huge differences in these two examples. Sportsbook $10 minimum deposit sites obviously will require $10 minimum deposits, you just have to check if CAD currency is available. You could compare payment methods at other CAD bookmakers and you will find the same kind of discrepancies in limits. Punters are advised to check with their preferred online bookmaker to find out what limits apply to the various payment methods.

You can get a good idea by using the sortable bookmaker database at Just select your country and payment processor then filter the results using CAD as a currency as well as the minimum and maximum deposit and withdrawal.
